A GUIDE TO BETTER BUSINESS CALLS
A voice agent listens to a caller, responds in speech and can take a configured action. Put that to work at your front desk, and you have an AI receptionist.
For your business, the useful part is what happens next: an answered question, a captured request, an appointment or a handoff to your team.
THE CONVERSATION, EXPLAINED
An AI voice agent uses artificial intelligence to understand spoken requests and generate spoken replies. It can ask follow-up questions and use the conversation’s context to respond. Connected tools can let it check information or carry out specific tasks.
Its usefulness depends on the information and actions it has been given. For a business receptionist, that means approved answers about your services and hours, clear booking rules, and a way to reach a person when the conversation needs one.
Our AI receptionist service brings those pieces together around your incoming calls. We help configure the business information, review the call handling with you and prepare the setup before paid activation.
FROM INFORMATION TO ACTION
Here is how the receptionist’s conversation connects to your business.
We configure your services, opening hours, service area, common questions and handling instructions. Supported business documents can provide more context. You review what the receptionist should say.
The agent can answer a supported question, collect caller details or record a service request. Booking is available when enabled and connected to Google Calendar, following your availability and appointment rules.
An appointment is confirmed only after it has been saved successfully. The receptionist can transfer to an approved owner or on-call number, with an agreed fallback if nobody answers. Your workspace brings together call history, summaries and follow-ups.
WHERE IT FITS
You decide which incoming calls to route to your receptionist. Start with the situations where callers need a reliable next step.
Talk through your call flowKNOW THE BOUNDARIES
AI can misunderstand a caller or give an incorrect answer. Your configuration needs clear limits: what the agent may answer, which actions are enabled and when it should capture a callback request or offer a transfer.
When it does not know an answer, the receptionist can collect a request for your team. It should not invent a price, promise a technician’s arrival time or act as emergency dispatch. A transfer also depends on someone being available to answer.
Before production service, you review the configuration and try a preview. Standard setup includes an assisted preview revision. Real customer calls begin after approval, setup checks and paid activation; the website demo is a sample experience.
A FEW MORE DETAILS
A voice agent is the technology that carries out a spoken conversation. An AI receptionist is a particular use of it: handling incoming business calls, answering approved questions and helping callers reach the next step. Our service focuses on that receptionist role, with assisted setup and a customer workspace.
No. You can choose missed calls, after-hours calls, overflow calls or all incoming calls. Conditional forwarding lets you keep your existing business number and answer when you are available. We test the setup with your carrier; its forwarding terms and charges still apply. Forwarding calls does not move your SMS service.
Yes. The customer portal supports business information and knowledge updates, with a draft preview and publication process. You review supported changes before they become part of the published configuration. New routing destinations and more complex integration changes are handled with our support team.
No. The website demonstration uses sample actions to show how a conversation can work. It does not handle your customer calls or create real customer appointments. Production booking requires an approved configuration, an enabled booking workflow and a connected Google Calendar.
